Parkland Art & Design Facilities and Studio Space

 

The Art and Design program is located in three areas on the Parkland campus.  Digital Media and Photography is located in the C-wing with two Macintosh labs. Three fully equipped Two-Dimensional studios, Black and White Photography, Art History, and Art Appreciation classes are located in the lower level of the D-wing.  The Three-Dimensional studio classes are located in the S-Building along the college perimeter drive. Facilities include:

  • 12 cubic foot gas kiln
  • raku and sawdust firing kiln
  • 4 electric kilns 
  • kick and electric wheels 
  • large covered outdoor carving facility with compressed air
  • dedicated woodshop with basic shop equipment 
  • standard metalworking tools
  • centrifugal casting facilities
  • enameling and Precious Metal Clay kiln
  • forming and raising area
